  1. Karla was a very special part of our family. We entrusted our son Zachary to her loving care. She cared for him, as well as the other children of Arlene's Daycare, with open arms, a warm heart, a cheerful demeanor, and a contagious smile. She was generous with her hugs and attention. Our son would not be the happy and courteous little boy he is without her influence. That is one of the legacies she leaves behind - the impact she has had on so many children's personalities. At 2 years old, Zach may eventually forget Karla, but we will always remember her joyful spirit and smile, especially when Zach iterates one of her Oh My Gawd's. We will miss her dearly.

  4. Hi. I just ran into this blog through chapel of flowers. I am scared and depressed since I am myself facing death with something terminal. I gasped when first layed my eyes on this page. I have good memories of her. Karla was one of my first friends at a brand new school (J.W Fair). She was friendly and had invited me to her cirle of friends. I remember her always carrying ice breakers gum that she would share with me, and she would buy me a hot pocket from the al la carte... which I will have one for her right now in her memory. I didn't keep in touch with her after Fair since we went our own seperate ways and went to different highschools. I saw her again probably around 2002 at my job which was at the Benefit cosmetic counter at macys. She would stop by often, and her and I would have a good time sharing laughs, talking about men, sharing stories, and of course, trying on makeup! I would show her tricks on how to achieve certain looks and she was always so attentive and willing to try anything... but she was more of the natural look kind of gal. I still vividly remember applying the makeup on her! My heart breaks because such a beautiful soul has left this earth.. She will be remembered by all.
